Salim Succar is a Haitian lawyer with broad expertise spanning criminal law, law enforcement, finance, corporate law, and resource management. He has been practicing with Cabinet Lissade since 1996 and currently serves as managing partner of Lissade-Succar Law Firm in Port-au-Prince. Salim Succar’s practice focuses on corporate and maritime law, mergers and acquisitions, and new business development.

Throughout his career, Salim Succar has been involved in legal and financial policy initiatives both in Haiti and abroad. He was appointed Haiti’s representative expert for the Organization of American States, advising on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters. He also served as a Haitian expert to the United Nations in discussions surrounding the ratification of the Palermo Convention against Transnational Organized Crime. He has also provided counsel to five Haitian ministers of justice and served on a joint commission of the Central Bank and Ministry of Justice tasked with establishing Haiti’s Financial Intelligence Unit and developing expertise in anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing matters.

Salim Succar’s government experience includes serving as deputy chief of staff to President Michel Joseph Martelly and as chief of staff and special advisor to Prime Minister Laurent Salvador Lamothe. He earned his law degree from Haiti State University and pursued executive and professional studies at the National Defense University’s Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies and MIT.
